I had my first resident evil experience 2 seconds after my birth, the doctor was actually a zombie, the first 2 things I did instead of crying (the normal thing a baby does right after birth) were put on my sunglasses and take out my m92f standard to shoot him in the head. Then I started crying in my mother's arms. So as you see there's not a limit in the age to experience resident evil.
